The actress looks stunning on the cover of ‘Elle’ magazine, which marks her first cover since the tragic and untimely death of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith. Inside, she opens up about the painful experience.
Lea Michele graces the upcoming December cover of Elle magazine and talks candidly about life after losing her boyfriend. On the cover, she can be seen wearing a pair of Frame Denim jeans with a gold Chanel metal charm and vintage belt and a white Ralph Lauren canvas jacket, with seemingly no shirt underneath. The 27-year-old wore her hair down to accentuate her naturally wavy brunette locks, and rocked an intense smoky eye. In the weeks after her boyfriend’s untimely death, the Glee actress slowly began to learn how to to cope with such a loss at a young age, and even turned to actress Kate Hudson for support.
Lea Michele’s ‘ELLE’ Interview — Leaning On Kate Hudson:
Shortly after his passing, Lea contacted Kate, (who she acted alongside when she had a small part on Glee ), to ask for advice as to how to deal with the enormous tragedy. “I called [Kate Hudson] and said, ‘I don’t know where I’m going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters].’ She was like, ‘Oh, you’re going to stay at my house.’ Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I’ll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me.”
It has only been a few months since Cory Monteith‘s tragic passing, and while Lea has remained strong in the public eye, she revealed that she’s still struggling with the immense loss. “It’s very hard. And you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don’t have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort.”
Lea revealed that moving past what had happened is what Cory would have wanted, telling the mag: “I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life. Now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that’s what I’m going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people.”

While the interview is very telling, the star also looks stunning in a slew of style looks. In the shoot, she also shows off a fashionable quilted frock by Tom Ford with a pair of intricate leather and net boots, also by the designer. She also rocked a grey Derek Lam crop top and a pair of black threeASFOUR stretch-jersey pants for the spread.
